Your landscape is surely well-loved by its beauty during the day. But you also want to show off its looks at night time, would you not? So how will you be able to do this? There is a way for you and the passersby to appreciate these landscapes even at night.
The best way to do this is to incorporate lighting in your garden.
There are more reasons why adding lighting to your landscape will be a very good decision for you to make.
For one, lighting, aside from its primary function of illuminating, can be used for aesthetic reasons. With lighting, you can give accent to your front yard, soft light for your backyard or you could give emphasis to any part of your garden. Lighting the front yard and backyard are called back-lighting and up-lighting respectively. In addition, you can use different colored bulbs and lenses from a wide variety that you can choose from to add more effect and attractiveness to your landscape. You can create just the right mood according to the color of the bulb. By using the blue colored bulb, you can give yourself a relaxing and a soothing feel. The green light can represent a calm mood while the color purple can create a romantic ambiance.
For practical reasons, lighting can also be used to reduce the pest level. Insects are always attracted to light. Your lighting gathers these insects and keep them away from the place where you are having your gathering. You can put your lighting in the flowerbeds or the bushes. It will be like hitting two birds in one stone. You will not only give accent to your flowers and bushes but you will also keep those insects away from pestering and ruining your garden party.
Lighting as an addition to your landscape can come with a lot of great possibilities as you have seen. You and your guests will surely appreciate your landscape during the daytime and even at night.
