credit: limaoscarjulietOrganic is huge these days. There is a huge organic movement encouraging people to eat only foods that have not been sprayed with insecticides when they are growing.
There seems to be much evidence that non organic food can be detrimental to your health. There are of course, many proponents who believe that the whole organic business is a bunch of hogwash. This has not however, taken away from the momentum of those who believe they are doing the best for them and their children by buying only organic fruits and vegetables.
So how in heavens name did this organic craze spread to buying only organic newborn baby clothes. You would think in this day and age of skyrocketing costs that new parents would be looking for cheap baby clothes for girls and boys and not looking to spend the more money that organic clothes cost.
The truth is I feel that this is all a result of the newer trend in marriages. Many women waited many years to get married as they worked on their careers often at the expense of their family life. Once they do have their baby, they are so excited that they want only the best for these babies. They have lots of income as they have spend years accumulating it before they have kids. As organic is the most recent craze there have been many who say that babies should only have organic , cotton clothes next to their little bodies. These parents who got married late and want to do whatever they can for their babies, will buy any story that tells them how they can be the best parents and give their kids the best. So even if it’s not true you will still find hordes of older parents running to buy organic clothing for their babies.
