Constipation refers to having three or fewer bowel movements in a week. During this period, excrement is usually very small, hard, and difficult to produce.
It is often very painful and one feels bloated and some pressure below his stomach.
Different people have varied bowel movement, some have twice a day while others experience them four times in a week. It is however necessary for one who is constipated and looking for a constipation remedy to understand that constipation is a symptom. Constipation is caused by a poor diet and temporary in nature meaning it can be prevented and treated too.
Constipation remedies are of different types including home remedies. The home remedies include:
One should simply keep hydrated to avoid constipation. This will not only involve drinking enough fluids, but drinking the right fluids. This is because fluid like alcohol and caffeine dehydrate ones body and drinking them will require that you replenish even more fluids.
Incorporating certain substances in ones diet will promote regularity and prevent further bouts of constipation. The most natural way of treating constipation is using prunes or prune juice. A small glass of prune juice in a day is enough to get one through the worst constipation symptoms and restore him back to being regular and comfortable. A couple of prunes a day too can achieve the same results. There are other remedies found in ones pastry and refrigerator apart from prunes. One cup of equal parts of orange juice and olive oil can relieve constipation. Another way is combining spinach and carrot juices equally. Making a mango or guava fruit, the first thing you eat in the morning for one to two weeks daily will also do the trick. These home remedies if taken regularly will help in maintaining regularity and a good healthy lower bowel.
