Elegant bathrooms are a way that you can get a very lasting look in your space. It’s going to be a lot more neutral than theme rooms but it still does show a huge sense of personality.
One thing that you’re going to see quite a lot of when you do decorate elegant bathrooms is going to be an ornate bathtub or shower. In the country or vintage kinds of design style this is going to be a clawfoot type. However, if you’re just going with a basic standard shower and bath combination then you really want to make sure that you just go with a piece that has a lot of character to it. It can even have a faux marble tile on it. If you went with a standard liner that just mimics marble this can seem a little bit too cheesy. This will be one of your more expensive bathroom upgrades but it makes more sense just to get it right the first time.
You can also really bring this into your room in very subtle ways so it works with oak wardrobes or wall colors. A great way to do this is with your mirror. You can find a lot of gold frame mirrors at thrift stores. They might have been used for a different purpose such as a living room. However, you can really use it in a totally different way and it’s going to be one of your least expensive options.
You can even really upgrade your standard bath mat. In this case, you can find a lot of plush design styles that still mimic an Oriental rug. You don’t accomplish elegance just when you go with a basic solid color plush bath mat. However, it still needs to be easy to clean and have a nonslip backing to it.
