Spice up your day with current events

June 19, 2011.

What more powerful force can rip you up from the warmth of your comforter? Nothing can compare to the nerve shattering and ear splitting banner headline of your favorite newspaper. What of the subdued but nervously tinged voices of your familiar newscasters detailing the news of the day?  But I always have a weird feeling why the sound of the printed word comes stronger than the spoken version.

So they have it set for you. They begin to dish out all the possible menu to spice up your day. If you happen to be a bit indiscriminate in your choice of information you would tend to take everything hook line and sinker. Then without you knowing it your are spinning the thread that could trap you for the rest of the day.  Continually absorbing the massive negative energies that bombard you from all directions could easily squeeze the juices out of your system. Without a timely intervention your are headed for disaster.

It may never have come to you but you can control the volume of traffic and the kind of current events goings on pretty easily. It’s your decision to limit your time exposure to such kind of stuff. You can easily switch to other channels that usually deal with more positive messages. A lot of them talk about how to prepare a healthy diet for the family, doing exercises and stretching or offering you tips on how to meditate to guide you along the path toward enlightenment. So, there’s the rub. Just as you can be picky with the food you decide to feed your body with you can also do the same to the kind of information you choose to be catered with.

But did it ever cross your mind that somehow you could also become a current event article writer yourself? Then you say, oh come on, you must be joking! But then, why not. If you can say it, you can write it just as easily. Because, you know, by becoming one you can do a lot of things to sanitize the airwaves as well as the printwaves from trash. You can opt to become more uplifting than depressing, energizing rather than playing emotional vampirism. Or if you really don’t want to go into the hassle, just be a positive energizer to whomever you meet for the rest of the day. Just by informing your next door neighbor the benefits of availing the taste of the wild coupons would surely be cool.

The thing is, expose yourself to more positive promoting news information and pass it around. That would be enough to spice up your day.
