If you are a more devoted yogi, you might think that yoga pants would not be much of a concern in your practice. However, dressing up for yoga is also a concern because you do want to be really comfortable in doing your yoga poses.

You only need to know what yoga pants to use, whether you need Capri or tall yoga pants. For you to understand better, here are the basic and significant things you must check on.

  1. Check the elasticity of the yoga pants you will purchase. There are many bending and extraordinary positions which mean your clothing really needs a lot of flexibility. Your yoga pants must be flexible enough to so that you can do your moves well.
  2. Check the texture of the yoga pants. Choose the material that will not scratch your skin much. Most yogis prefer cotton or cotton with slight combination of other materials. Scratchiness or itchiness would really be bothersome and it will take much from your yoga experience.
  3. Check the breathability of the yoga pants. Some forms of yoga do not require much sweating and you don’t want to be drenched with sweat all over unnecessarily. Jogging pants will not be of much help, if I were you.
  4. Check also the color. Choose tones that will not show sweat marks. Gray tones will easily show your sweating areas so avoid purchasing them.
  5. Check for the comfort. When you are comfortable with the yoga pants you are wearing, then you will feel even more relaxed in your poses. Yoga is really about relaxing so make sure you are comfortable the whole time with your attire.
  6. Check the style. Whether it’s regular clothes or yoga attire, you will still want a style that fits you. Make sure that your yoga pants is tailored for your needs so as not to sacrifice your yoga poses.
