There’s no denying that some motorcycle luggage simply doesn’t look great and function well when you’re off of the motorcycle. The gear is usually designed to stay on the motorcycle.

For the exception of backpacks for motorcycle riding, they’re are not many pieces that work well for ladies who need to carry a purse. It’s a hassle to make due with gear that isn’t designed for the job.

Standard purses are a hassle due to their design. A rider either has to stuff them in valuable saddlebag space or strap them to the motorcycle. When they’re just strapped the motorcycle there’s a good chance that the contents can shake out onto the road. This makes for a dangerous situation for riders behind a bike with a purse that has shaken lose or dangers for someone trying to retrieve it or the contents from the roadway. The situation is completely avoidable by purchasing a purse made for riding motorcycles.

Harley Davidson and other motorcycle gear manufacturers now have purses for lady riders that are designed for the rigors of riding. The pockets close securely and they’re designed to hold maps, sunglasses, and other things that need to be handy when riding. Some mount to the fuel tank, while other attach to the sissy bar. There are some that have quality clips for latching the purse to other riding gear or clothing.

When you have the right gear, it makes riding more enjoyable, not to mention you look like a rider that knows what she’s doing. Who wants to drop a purse off of the motorcycle and create a dangerous situation? Nobody does and simply purchasing the right gear takes care of you and others on the road. A good purse will last a long time too. They cost a little more, but the quality that riding demands makes them wear well.
