You may be one of those people who have gained some weight because of the holiday seasons where most of us have the tendency to just eat from one party to another. As the New Year starts, losing weight might be one of your many New Year’s resolution.
Losing weight does not only mean getting a sexy figure, but being healthy as well. However, in doing so you might be always running out of time and just grab something on the go like a hamburger or any instant food. In order to avoid this diet pitfall it is very important to have a healthy meal plan that you could follow.
So how would you able to create a healthy meal plan? You may simply follow these easy steps:
1. First, list all the foods that you like. Sort them into different categories such as foods that make you feel good, full, happy or just the foods that you usually eat most of the time.
2. Looking on the list that you have made, mark the foods that are healthy.
3. After knowing which foods on your list are healthy and which are not, plan out your meals and stick to it. Always make sure that you have breakfast, lunch, dinner and two snacks in your meals.
4. As you plan the meals for the day, try to refer to the Food Pyramid in order to make sure that you are preparing a balanced meal and that you get the right number of servings for each of the food group. Some people struggle to eat enough fruits and vegetables – an easy way around this is to get yourself a juicer machine, and supplement your diet with fresh healthy juice.
5. Look over the plan that you have made and make sure that you have all the necessary nutrients needed by the body like carbohydrates, protein and the like. After you have finished making one, try to do two more healthy meal plans that you can alternate with so that you won’t get bored with the food you are eating.
Being healthy is not really difficult at all, all you need is to come up with a good and healthy meal plan and stick to it.
