Heated Tile Floor For Your Home

It is quite clear why floor tiles are one of the most widely used flooring material in the world. They are pretty, picturesque, and they come in so many textures and patterns that can fit to almost any home’s interior or exterior decoration.

Not to mention that all this is on top of its being affordable and economical. The only major setback of tiled flooring however, is its tendency to be very cold and uneasy on bare feet during the winter season and on random cool days. It’s an uncomfortable situation but it is not without solution because there is actually a great way of making a tiled floor friendlier to the senses of a bare foot, and that is by turning it into a heated tile floor.

A heated tiled floor adds warmth to the whole flooring area of the room through a heating system that is installed underneath it. This system is made up of insulated cables that are made of copper, which runs around the whole span of the room. The temperature of these cables can be regulated as you desire through a switch. In reference to a popular misconception, installing a heating system in you floor will not in any alter the warmth of the whole space – only the flooring. If you want a thorough heating, it is still best to equip your home with radiator systems.

You actually have two choices of cabling system to select from. One is the individual cable, and the other is the one that makes use of the blanket system. The former is cheaper but the latter is easier to install on your own. A heated tile floor costs about $500 and may amount to thousands to dollars depending on how big the floor space is. It does not cost much to operate and so you do not have to worry about a great change in your electrical bill in order to enjoy this amazing comfort.
