Bathroom mirrors and picture frames are no different in the way that they are hung. The basic tools needed for such a project include a screwdriver, stud finder, picture wire, a pencil and hanging brackets.

When you are dealing with small bathroom mirrors, it really doesn’t matter what bracket you choose. However, when working with a heavy mirror, users must put more brainpower into which bracket they choose. To do this, weigh the mirror and find a bracket which is capable of holding that amount of weight. This will ensure that the bathroom mirror does not come crashing down unexpectedly.

Next, take your stud finder and try to locate wood studs within the wall. It is on these studs where screws will be driven for the brackets. If the wooden studs are in a good spot, simply drill a pilot hole and fix the brackets to them. If the studs are in a poor spot, it may be necessary to put drywall anchors into the wall. The anchors provide a secure mounting point even when mounted into flimsy drywall. The anchors are hammered into pilot holes and will lock into place.

The mirror should be positioned at such a height that allows all bathroom users to see their head clearly. With a little adjustment, it is possible to allow a large mirror to be used by both children and adults. There are two reasons why an additional bathroom mirror is desired. When a couple has a small bathroom, they sometimes need an extra mirror so that they can both work freely. Also, an additional bathroom mirror can lighten a bathroom and make it seem bigger.

After hanging the mirror on the wall brackets, it can be leveled using a leveler. Or, you can just eyeball it. Either way, installing a bathroom mirror is an easy job and a quick creative addition.
