It was used to mint coins and as barter exchange. Nowadays, investors and gold enthusiasts clamour for gold in bullion form or jewelry. Well, it also helps the price of gold has skyrocketed to an all time high. Like any other commodity in the market, the price of gold fluctuates depending on speculation as well as the simple supply and demand. However, as compared to other investments such as real estate, stocks, bonds, etc, gold investment is less volatile. In fact, it is considered as a safe haven investment.

First and foremost, one needs to master the main factors that affect the price of gold. Central banks and international momentary funds control about 19% of all the gold reserves in the world.
