Decorating a room can be a difficult job for most of us, we all want our rooms to be something unique and special, but many of us do not know where to begin. Those few of us who actually do know where to begin on projects like this often get bogged down on the little finishing touches of the room.
Finishing touches like curtains, pictures, and area rugs. So to give you a few ideas to get you going on these finishing touches here are a couple of area rugs to think about.
A gold rug is a wonderful color of rug to incorporate into you room to give it an elegant rich look. This color of rug works best if you have black furniture, or King Louis XIV style furniture. Either way you can not go wrong with a gold rug as long as you remember to buy a rug that is not too big for the room. Nothing looks worse than a nice new area rug that just does not fit the room. Do if you do decide to go with this color of rug measure the room carefully before you purchase your new rug.
If you have modern furniture and want to add a fun colorful feel to your room then why not consider a shag area rug as the center piece of your room. These rugs are so soft, and come in a multitude of bright vivid colors that will compliment just about any room. So if you want a rug that will draw people in to your room then this is the rug for you. The only thing that you need to know about shag rugs is that they come in varied pile lengths so talk to your local rug dealer and make sure that you find the length that is right for you.
