Handbags are a basic necessity for women these days. Not only are they convenient for carrying all the items that a woman needs throughout the day like a wallet, mobile phone, makeup among others things, they are a stylish addition to any outfit.
Designer bags like those from Coach or Jessica Simpson are some of the most coveted fashion accessories that a women would like to add to their wardrobe.
The most common handbag is a black leather tote. These bags are typically shoulder carried and can hold an extreme amount of things that a woman will need during her workday or casual outings. Leather handbags are popular as they are durable. The black color simply goes with everything and can be carried through the year. A white handbag is usually on stylish during the warm summer months while a brown bag is typically seen only during the fall.
Another large handbag that is becoming popular is a backpack bag. Many women these days prefer to commute or shop hands free. Some ride a cycle to work while others might ride the train in to work and want to carry something like a cup of coffee and newspaper. A backpack bag makes this very convenient. Once the bag is removed these stylish bags transform into a typical tote bag. No one would notice that it was worn as a backpack with many of the stylish designs available.
Small bags are common for formal events and parties. These bags are created for carrying only the barest necessities like lipstick, money and car keys while being stylish as fashionable accessory to a dress or gown. Obviously these outfits have no pockets and carrying a large tote would not be very stylish so small clutch bags are the obvious choice. The most popular are a gold, silver or black leather clutch handbag. These go well with most gowns or dresses.
